Gabriela Popescu is the Country Manager for Microsoft Romania, Moldova and CCA region, having accumulated almost 30 years of experience in with several multinational companies. She took over the Country Manager role on March 1st, 2026, after covering this role on ad-interim basis. She joined Microsoft in 2017, as lead attorney and over the last 8 years she held different positions within the regional legal and governmental affairs team of Microsoft.

Gabriela is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, Bucharest University and holds an MBA Degree from the Institute for Business and Public Administration at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. She was recognized as one of the strongest counsels in the local market and Central Europe, being included in the Legal 500 GC Powerlist for Central and Eastern Europe in 2017, 2019, 2023, 2024 and 2025 editions.
